Updated SHP online courses coming to STARS in 2025 (spring)

The SHARE Title IX and Title VI Office is currently working with the Office of General Counsel and the Employee Labor Relations-UHR Office to evaluate content changes required based on the updated Title IX Regulations and the Department of Education's "Dear Colleague" letter. Note that our Sexual Harassment Prevention courses are part of a larger review of Stanford courses affected by the federal administration's new guidelines and executive orders.

Education and Outreach Programs

The SHARE Education team develops and contributes to a wide range of programs, projects, and events to increase awareness about sexual and relationship violence, stalking, sexual harassment, and gender-based discrimination and to meet the needs of Stanford students, faculty, and staff.  Our programs promote healthy sexuality and relationships, dispel myths about sexual and relationship violence, examine gender roles and how they relate to sexual and relationship violence, stalking, and sexual harassment, provide guidance on risk reduction, advise students of available resources and explore how each of us can become empowered to end sexual and relationship violence. 

We are always seeking new ideas and opportunities for collaboration. We appreciate the expertise and experiences of our students and colleagues as we aim to work together to create a violence-free community. 

Image defines sexual citizenship as affirming the right of every individual to sexual self-determination, promoting care, equity, and accountability among all members of the community and within all types of relationships, and establishing a community where everyone is entitled to bodily autonomy and empowered to express their yeses and their nos. These programs are designed to meet the needs of specific audiences. We can come to your dorm, fraternity or sorority meeting, class, community center, or virtually anywhere else that your group is gathered. Presentations are structured to encourage dialogue, reflection, and critical thinking about sexual and relationship violence, stalking, sexual harassment, and gender-based discrimination, as well as to offer ways to challenge thoughts and behaviors that contribute to this violence.
