SHARE Title IX Announcements

Updated SHP online courses coming to STARS in 2025 (spring)

The SHARE Title IX and Title VI Office is currently working with the Office of General Counsel and the Employee Labor Relations-UHR Office to evaluate content changes required based on the updated Title IX Regulations and the Department of Education's "Dear Colleague" letter. Note that our Sexual Harassment Prevention courses are part of a larger review of Stanford courses affected by the federal administration's new guidelines and executive orders.

Identify your Sexual Projects

Main content start

It helps to know what we’re doing and why we're doing it in any area of life, including our sexual expression and relationships. Reflecting on your sexual projects is a way to understand what’s important to you and what’s motivating your behavior. Identifying your sexual projects can improve your confidence, give you the chance to change direction if you need to, and most importantly, start communicating with others.

Watch this short video as an introduction to sexual projects, and then take the quiz to help you reflect on your sexual projects. This will support you in developing your own--and supporting others’--sexual citizenship.

Sexual Projects Quiz

The concept of sexual projects comes from research led by Jennifer S. Hirsch and Shamus Khan at Columbia University, described in their book Sexual Citizens.

This quiz was developed by Brianna Booth, PhD. Please email her at boothbk@stanford.edu if you have feedback on making it a more useful tool.
